Freddie Green's Grave SiteFollowing the March 6, 1987 memorial service in Manhattan, Freddie Green was brought to rest at Pinelawn Memorial Park, in Farmingdale, NY (Long Island). Among other notable musicians buried at this cemetery are John Coltrane and Freddie's long time employer and close friend Count Basie. Below is a photo of the memorial that marks the location. In 2000, Freddie was joined by one of his daughters, Ruby Holmes. Many thanks to Tom Smith for locating the marker and supplying this photo.
